We are looking for a hardworking, dependable person who wants to be a part of our Amentum Maintenance Services team. This role will include identifying repeated causes of failure, supporting root‑cause failure analysis and equipment lifecycle assessments, and conducting equipment/system field verification. The technician will provide hands‑on technical support for equipment reliability and assist with preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Responsibilities- Become qualified as an LOTO authorized person and train in OSHA LOTO responsibilities.
- Perform field inspections on mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, HVAC, rotating equipment, and test‑facility components.
- Operate and maintain electrical distribution systems and/or control circuitry; perform field verification of equipment information and failure reporting.
- Update MAXIMO with equipment histories, work‑order data, condition‑monitoring results, and corrective actions.
- Support development and improvement of job plans, PM tasks, and reliability procedures.
- Help standardize mechanical maintenance practices to align with reliability goals.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and post‑maintenance testing of mechanical equipment as directed by engineering.
- Support repairs and document findings for engineer review.
- Provide feedback to engineering on chronic equipment issues, gaps in PM tasks, or needs for improved procedures.
- Prepare basic technical summaries, field notes, and photographs to support engineering documentation and reports.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to documented procedures.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Two (2) years of college with courses in engineering, mathematics, or science, and an additional two (2) years of relevant experience, for a total of four (4) years, or any equivalent combination.

- A valid driver’s license.
- Completion and maintenance of an approved NASA background investigation.
- Experience with rotating machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, and cooling water systems is desirable.
- Experience operating industrial forklifts, man‑lifts, and cranes is desirable.
- Relevant military training or aviation maintenance training is a plus.

- Must have sufficient mobility to enter confined spaces and crawl into or onto assemblies.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist, sit for extended periods, climb, crawl, and lift up to 35 lbs.
- Exposure to high noise levels, hazardous chemicals, propellants, and other hazards; appropriate PPE and training provided.
Office Environment (20%). Test/Industrial Environment – exposure to high noise levels, high‑energy sources, hazardous propellants, explosives, chemicals, and industrial facilities (75%). Travel between facilities and during test operations may be required and may involve exposure to loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment and chemical operations (5%).
AttendanceRegular attendance mandatory (100%) – Overtime/work outside normal schedule required (10%).
