Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services () We are currently looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team for a highway expansion project in Hampton, Virginia.

Estimated duration of the position: 8 months – In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

Summary: The Land Surveyor will provide technical surveying support across all phases of the project, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all measurements and layout activities.

• Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control points.
• Perform topographic surveys, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
• Execute staking and setting out for earthworks, utilities, roadworks, and structural elements.
• Collect, process, and validate field data with surveying software.
• Prepare surveying reports, sketches, and documentation for project records.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure all surveying activities follow safety protocols and industry standards.
• Degree in Land Surveying or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of survey instruments (Total Station, GPS, levels, scanners).

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly

Starting date: to be determined

• Working for an international company currently expanding.
