Overview

Candidates MUST BE geographically located in Northern Virginia with a willingness to work on-site one day per week

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will perform general ledger reconciliation, analysis, and research. You will update internal documentation and assist your management and your team with financial reporting.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Review and prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries related to product revenue and cost recognition, overhead expense accruals
  • Reconcile and analyze multiple complex general ledger accounts
  • Independently identify and resolve issues as they occur
  • Assist with the preparation of internal and external reports
  • Update documentation of internal controls and accounting processes
  • Interface with, and provide information to, internal and external auditors
  • Stay current on emerging technical issues, in particular those that impact ePlus
  • Recommend methods and procedures to improve accounting processes
  • Perform other duties, as requested, to meet department goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of experience in a large accounting transaction volume environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables)
  • Hands‑on experience utilizing complex ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience working in a high volume transaction environment (medium to large company)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A highly motivated self‑starter with the ability to work alone on various analytical issues and form independent conclusions
  • Adaptable to different computer environments
  • Attention to detail
Greatly Preferred
  • Power Query experience/knowledge desirable but not required
POSITION SPECIFICS

The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $70,000 and $85,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job‑related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.

Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an offer of employment is extended.

When hired, employee will be in an “at‑will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
