Overview
The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates is looking to hire a full-time Staff Auditor for the Credit Union Audit Group
.

We provide a structured and organized 120-day training plan to get you up to speed, so you'll be prepared to succeed as a Staff Auditor
.
- Travel to different credit unions to conduct cash counts.
- Complete interim and annual reports and complete compliance audits.
- Perform highly technical audits and management analysis to ensure operations and procedures are correct and compliant with applicable laws.
- Assist with technical problems, attend conferences, and training sessions for credit union personnel, supervisory committees, and credit union boards.
- Promote LEVERAGE products and services to generate leads and referrals to the Business Development Consultant teams.
- Support credit union employees, officers, and committee members to be successful in their processes.
- Maintain relationships with federal and state supervisory agencies and keep a record of all work contacts, activities, and expense reports in Net Suite
. - Collaborate with team members as needed and work independently based on credit union needs.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to obtain a bachelor's degree in accounting within three months of hire.
- Six to twelve months of general accounting experience, including knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and methods.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to state/federal credit unions and the ability to detect violations and non-compliance of state/federal rules and regulations.
- Credit Union experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) designations are preferred; or must be obtained within 24 months.
As a Staff Auditor, you will be required to travel throughout Virginia, performing auditing functions for multiple credit unions. You will work independently or with a team based on credit union needs. A valid driver's license is required. You must live locally in Virginia or be willing to relocate. You can expect to work Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekend engagements.
