A Senior Mortgage Loan Originator is a seasoned professional responsible for originating, processing, and closing mortgage loans. This role involves building strong client relationships, providing expert financial advice, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
• Actively seek out and develop relationships with potential clients, including real estate agents, builders, and individual borrowers.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process, from initial consultation to closing.
• Build and maintain a strong referral network.
• Loan Origination and Processing:
• Conduct thorough financial analysis of borrowers' creditworthiness and income to determine eligibility for various loan programs.
• Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
• Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with underwriters, processors, and closing agents to ensure timely and efficient loan processing.
• Loan Closing:
• Review closing documents and coordinate with title companies and escrow officers.
• Oversee the post-closing process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay up-to-date on federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and Dodd‑Frank.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain knowledge and skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven track record of success in mortgage loan origination.
• In‑depth knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and closing procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• NMLS license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with various loan products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans.
• Knowledge of mortgage banking software and CRM systems.
• Strong sales and marketing skills.
• Leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching junior team members.
