The Radiology Technologist performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using fixed and portable units. The position supports physicians in diagnostic imaging, maintains radiation safety, ensures high‑quality patient care, and participates in continuous professional development.
Core Responsibilities- Perform all radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures in line with departmental protocols.
- Communicate procedure details and safety information to patients.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Report significant problems to Supervisors or Technical Director.
- Document and maintain all required department records accurately.
- Maintain equipment, ensuring proper functioning and appropriate shut‑off after use.
- Assist in patient transport to and from the Radiology Department.
- Participate in unit orientation, preceptorships, and staff meetings.
- Continue personal and professional growth through training and certification renewal.
- Apply for and maintain ARRT certification, BLS, and any required specialty credentials.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program (or documented equivalent). Required to be ARRT certified (or eligible to obtain within 6 months).
- Licensure: Current ARRT certification. BLS certification required upon hire (American Red Cross or equivalent).
- Experience: Ability to perform radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures following departmental protocols.
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management. Commitment to radiation safety and universal precautions. Proficiency in using imaging equipment and related software.
