Psychiatric Emergency Clinician Supervisor
Inova Center for Personal Health is looking for a dedicated Psychiatric Emergency Clinician Supervisor to join the team. This role will be full-time night shift Sun-Wed 7:00 p.m.–5:30 a.m.
Responsibilities- Provides psychiatric consults to patients who present to the Emergency department onsite at Fairfax ER, via tele psych at other Inova ERs or Urgent Care facilities, or at IPAC walk-in clinic.
- Provides direct/indirect clinical supervision to central access clinicians to enhance their individual clinical skills and the quality of services to patients. Develop goals and manage fiscal activities of the department.
- Oversees daily operations related to clinical evaluations and administrative functions, procedures and protocols.
- Supervises administrative operations including scheduling/registration, and direct patient care.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, therapists and other team members of the behavioral health team to effect timely, appropriate patient care management. Collaborates with other department leaders, providers and team members with Inova, and external agencies to help support the care and disposition of patients.
- Education:
Master s Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field. - Experience:
5 years of experience, 3 of which are post-licensure, working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill - Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. CPI within 6 months (CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention); must receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
