Description:

The Special Events EMT provides emergency medical care during public and private events, ensuring the safety and well‑being of attendees, staff, and participants. This role requires quick decision‑making, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in dynamic, high‑traffic environments.

• Emergency Response – Provide immediate medical assessment and care for injuries, illnesses, and emergencies during events.
• Assist with patient stabilization and prepare for transport when necessary.
• Documentation & Reporting – Accurately document all patient encounters and treatments.
• Equipment and Readiness – Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are stocked and operational before and during events; maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned medical stations or response kits.

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 125 lbs. or 250 lbs. with assistance.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Virginia EMT Certification.
• BLS CPR certification.
• EVOC certification.
• 1 year paid 911 experience.
