We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Medical Biller to manage our full-cycle revenue management process. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our clinical team, insurance providers, and patients to ensure timely, accurate reimbursement for services rendered. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills to tackle claim denials, a deep understanding of compliance, and a patient-first communication style.
Core Responsibilities- Claim Management:
Prepare, review, and submit clean electronic and paper claims to clearinghouses and commercial/government payers (Medicare/Medicaid). - Denial Resolution:
Research, appeal, and resolve rejected or denied claims efficiently to maintain a low accounts receivable (A/R) over 90 days. - Payment Posting:
Accurately post insurance payments, patient copays, deductibles, and electronic remittance advices (ERAs). - Patient Accounts & Support:
Answer patient billing questions with empathy and clarity, set up payment plans, and manage collections politely. - Compliance & Auditing:
Verify billing data against clinical documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards.
- Experience:
1-3 years of proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar revenue cycle role. - Technical Knowledge:
Strong working proficiency with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes. - Software:
Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Practice Management systems (Greenway/intergy or similar) and Microsoft Excel. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for negotiating with payers and explaining complex balances to patients. - Education/Certification:
Bachelors, Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentials are a strong plus. - Minimum of 1 year experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in an EHR system.
- This job requires a minimum of two year contract Pay:$24.00 - $28.00 per hour.
