• Perform a variety of cleaning activities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, disposing of trash and making beds.
• Ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected according to 5‑Star standards and within deadlines.
• Perform turn‑up and turn‑down services for guest rooms.
• Replenish guest‑room and public area restrooms.
• Maintain professional etiquette with all guests and employees.
• Greet all guests as though welcoming them into your own home.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Meet Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactions.
• Communicate any special requests to the Housekeeping supervisor.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Stock and maintain the housekeeping cart.
• Assist the public‑area attendant in cleaning and maintaining public areas as needed.
• Assist with cleaning, folding, ironing and steaming of laundry as needed.
• Complete all assigned projects by the Housekeeping supervisor.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Inn and its history.
• Follow all disinfecting and sanitization policies.

• 6 months to 1 year of housekeeping experience
• Ability to work weekends and a flexible work schedule
• Excellent communication skills
• Minimum 16 years of age
• Well‑groomed, well‑presented with no visible tattoos

• Familiarity with Forbes Standards
• Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
• Prior experience working in a 4 or 5‑star luxury property

• Follow detailed instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Work independently and in a close team environment
• Use standard housekeeping equipment, including linen cart, vacuum, mop, broom and cleaning chemicals
• Work with little supervision while maintaining high performance
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Speak using clear and professional language
• Multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
• Cross‑train across multiple departments and assist when needed
• Maintain compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards
  
  Complete assigned work in a timely manner

• Lift 30+ lbs.
• Stand, bend and walk for long periods of time
• Frequent or occasional need to reach, bend, push, pull, twist, lift and climb
