Position Summary

Assist in daily Front Office operations and deliver a Five‑star, Five‑diamond experience to all guests. Maintain all aspects of the Front Office area to ensure a luxury experience. Serve as a support to the Front Office and Dining Room team.

Essential Functions
  • This position is a unique blend of a hotel front desk agent and a restaurant host/hostess.
  • Acts as a strong ambassador for The Inn in all interactions with guests, whether staying overnight or dining.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and meets the expectations of a 5‑Star/5‑Diamond property by providing top‑notch guest service.
  • Multitasks front‑desk duties including guest check‑in/check‑out, seating, answering telephone calls, checking emails, relaying guest requests, walking food, and handling coats.
  • Assists servers with walking food when needed.
  • Runs daily reports and completes daily checklists.
  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally.
  • Shows eagerness to learn new information with a positive attitude.
  • Accepts constructive criticism to improve performance.
  • Coordinates with Housekeeping and Engineering to track room status and follow up.
  • Works closely with the Dining Room and Culinary teams to ensure all guest requests are communicated.
  • Meets Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactions.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with Resortsuite and Tock software.
  • Anticipates guest needs and responds to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintains professional etiquette with all guests and employees.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the Inn and its history.
  • Follows all disinfecting and sanitization policies.
Qualifications Required
  • 1–2 years of Front Desk or Restaurant host experience
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum age 16 years
  • Well‑groomed and well‑presented with no visible tattoos
Desirable
  • Familiarity with Forbes Standards
  • Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program
  • Certification in CPR
  • Prior experience with Resortsuite and Tock
Skills
  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized with a clean front‑desk area
  • Clear and professional language use
  • Multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment
  • Processes all payments, including credit card, cash, and gift certificates
  • Cross‑trains across multiple departments and assists when needed
  • Assists guests with questions about the property, history, surroundings, and amenities
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
  • Must stand, bend, and walk for long periods
  • Frequent or occasional need to reach, bend, push, pull, twist, lift, and climb
