Administrative HR Specialist - Junior
Cherokee Nation System Solutions (CNSS) is a part of Cherokee Federal – a division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses. This role supports the Navy Research & Development Establishment (&DE) Global Human Resources Officer and facilitates transition of personnel.
Job DescriptionThe Junior Administrative Human Resources Specialist will provide HR administration services in support of the ONR Global Personnel Officer. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the N1 Staffing Plan, ensuring proper onboarding/offboarding, tracking personnel data, coordinating with senior HR specialists, and supporting recruiting, selection, and training activities.
Compensation & BenefitsEstimated starting salary is TBD; pay commensurate with experience. Full‑time benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and other possible benefits, subject to change with or without notice.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update the ONR Global N1 Staffing Plan to ensure accurate personnel profiles and lifecycle tracking within 48 hours of notification.
- Ensure onboarding and offboarding processes are administratively correct, including processing PCS move documents, visa/passport paperwork, and travel documentation.
- Track and notify ONR Global leadership of expiring SAAR‑N forms 60 days in advance.
- Collaborate with the Knowledge Specialist to revise the N1 Staffing Plan architecture.
- Coordinate with the Senior Administrative HR Specialist to capture personnel transition actions and notify stakeholders within 24 hours.
- Support personnel recruiting, selection, onboarding logistics, briefing preparation, and conference/meeting planning.
- Track training completion at ONR Global-sponsored events, maintain attendance rosters, and establish digital storage for training records.
- Perform non‑inherently governmental HR administrative actions for employee transitions into and out of the Command.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of experience in Human Resource Management, or 10+ years of HR Management experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. Navy personnel administration, including managing customer HR requirements, supporting recruiting and onboarding logistics, preparing briefings and planning conferences/meetings, and supporting resolution of administrative, logistical, and financial HR issues.
- Experience in U.S. Navy Human Resource Development, including training support, performance monitoring, and professional development.
- Working knowledge of the Naval Research & Development Establishment (&DE).
