The HR Coordinator supports a wide range of human resources and administrative functions to ensure smooth operations and compliance with relevant regulations. This role is responsible for processing and coordinating new-hire screening and onboarding, maintaining HR compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, handling payroll reporting, and serving as the main point of contact for employee inquiries and requests. The coordinator serves as a key liaison between employees, HR, and operations leadership, ensuring consistency, communication, and confidentiality across all aspects of station support.
This position reports to the IAD Dnata station General Manager and works closely with the East Coast Regional HR Manager.
- Assist hiring managers with interviews, screening, and onboarding of new employees, while coordinating orientation sessions with the Training department.
- Assist new hires with airport badging applications to ensure compliance with airport authority requirements.
- Handle I-9 verifications and manage E-Verify submissions for all new staff.
- Support open enrollment by guiding employees through benefits questions and selections.
- Collaborate with station leadership to prepare performance documentation and disciplinary action forms.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and personnel files.
- Respond to HR inquiries promptly and provide consistent support to employees and managers.
- Manage leave-of-absence requests in accordance with policies and laws.
- Escalate employee relations issues to the Regional HR Manager and offer support during investigations and resolutions.
- Assist and support Payroll processing as needed.
- 1 to 2 years of Human Resources experience within a busy, employee-focused setting.
- Knowledge of HR compliance processes (I-9, E-Verify, FMLA/LOA processes, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with HRIS or badging systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Office environment within a station setting.
- May require occasional travel to attend job fairs or HR training.
