CT Network Engineer – Probity Inc.
Position Code: 07-NE1002-1
Location: Chantilly, Tysons, Warrenton
Clearance: ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph – required for all candidates
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex internal network infrastructure, including customer‑facing hosted and cloud environments. The role provides expert technical assistance, secures network infrastructure, and reduces costs while supporting customer needs.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and maintenance of network equipment
- Troubleshooting and resolution of network issues
- Design network architectures based on customer requirements and industry best practices
- Collaborate with other IT disciplines to troubleshoot complex problems
- Develop and maintain configurations plans for Cisco ACI design, planning, implementation, and testing in multi‑data‑center configurations
- Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure
- Participate in 24×7 on‑call and assist in resolving issues outside normal business hours
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education, training, or work/military experience
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience with architecting and designing IP networks and associated technologies
- In‑depth understanding of routing, switching, network monitoring, and management
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network connectivity and security
- Expertise in SDN engagements built around Cisco ACI and multi‑data‑center configurations
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining boundary security solutions and enterprise network architecture
- Hands‑on experience with VXLAN/EVPN, network programmability, and automation tools (Ansible, Python, REST APIs)
- Familiarity with Software‑Defined Networking (SDN) disaggregation technologies and open‑source solutions
- Experience with Network Access Control and Segmentation
- Experience with security compliance standards and site‑to‑site VPNs
- Experience with Next Gen Firewall and network automation tools
- Demonstrated ability to brief complex information to senior leadership
- Drive enhancements through full life cycle from concept to final implementation and support
