Man Tech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

The Senior Oracle Database Administrator will work as part of the overall DBA team to determine, implement, and maintain the most efficient ways to ingest, organize and store petabytes of data from disparate system.

• Participating in leading the design, development, and administration of Oracle 19c databases
• Designing and developing database code for ETL of data from multiple sources
• Conducting performance tuning and forecasting system scalability
• Recommending appropriate procedure, query, or package changes and optimizations to ensure and improve system performance and reliability
• Installing and configuring database environments as well as performing database backups and restores
• Managing, monitoring, and administering of Oracle database systems
• Participating in server and storage capacity management, planning and providing technical support in the evaluation of database systems and database design

• High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in the Information Technology field
• Experience with Oracle 19c+ architecture and database design, and related Oracle technologies (Partitioning, Encryption, Pluggable Database, etc.) on Linux systems
• Experience with Oracle Exadata and PL/SQL developer
• Oracle Label Security (OLS) experience coupled with experience and knowledge in methodologies to improve database query performance.
• Experience in the optimization of database environments
• Understanding of high-availability solutions, architecture, backup methodologies and their implementation (RMAN, Data Guard)
• Experience managing and tuning very large databases (terabytes and petabytes) and with automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy with strong documentation skills.

• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL architecture, database design, administration, and related technologies.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Technology
• Oracle OCP or OCM certification(s)
• Linux experience as relevant to database O&M
• Knowledge of multiple data-storage technologies
• Ability to work with multiple teams to enhance their code and improve performance.

• An active TS/SCI with Polygraph

• Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet
