Our client, a global IT Services and Consulting organization, is hiring a Service Now FSO Developer to join their team in Virginia on a contract basis. The successful candidate will design, develop and configure Service Now applications and integrations, while also collaborating with stakeholders to deliver robust solutions, automate processes and ensure platform customizations align with business requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and configure Service Now applications and modules (e.g. CSM, FSO), including workflows and catalog items.
  • Set up forms, fields, client scripts, business rules and UI policies to meet business requirements.
  • Build and maintain integrations with internal systems and third‑party applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub and related tools.
  • Develop integration‑related applications and automation to optimise business processes.
  • Write and maintain custom code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) tailored to specific business needs.
  • Implement and manage platform customizations following best practices.
  • Handle data imports, exports, and transformations while ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Support data reporting, maintenance, and governance initiatives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering configurations, customizations, integrations and operational processes.
Skillset
  • Demonstrated experience in Service Now development and implementation.
  • Deep understanding of Service Now modules (CSM, FSO) and overall platform capabilities.
  • Skilled in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Service Now scripting (Client/Server scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies).
  • Experience in building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
  • Strong knowledge of data imports, exports and transformation processes.
  • Familiarity with platform best practices, testing methodologies and documentation standards.
  • Excellent at diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.
