Sales Engineer – OT Cybersecurity | East Coast (Remote)

Position Overview
The Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth for my client. This individual will partner closely with account executives to lead technical conversations with prospective customers, acting as the subject matter expert on the company’s platform. The Sales Engineer must combine deep technical acumen in OT and cybersecurity with strong communication and consultative skills to guide prospects through complex buying decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements, articulating the value of the platform to a range of stakeholders including CISOs, IT/OT leaders, and plant-level operators.
- Conduct tailored product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and architecture workshops.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure feedback from the field informs roadmap and deployment best practices.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of industrial protocols, ICS architectures, and threat detection strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on the technical integration of the solution into OT/ICS environments.
- Represent the company at regional industry events, webinars, and customer meetings across the East Coast.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar role within cybersecurity, ideally with exposure to OT/ICS environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.), network security, and threat detection systems.
- Familiarity with NIST, IEC 62443, and/or other OT-relevant security frameworks.
- Hands-on experience working with PoCs, security platforms, and field-level technology integrations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; capable of influencing both technical and business stakeholders.
