Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage SAFe Agile methodology, SQL Developer, Jira, Git Lab, and possess a Security+ certification to support our production systems. This role emphasizes database management, analysis, troubleshooting, and solutioning to ensure optimal performance and security of our database environments. Opportunity:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions.
  • Utilize SAFe Agile practices to deliver high-quality database features and enhancements.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of database systems through best practices and Security+ certification.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of database performance and reliability.
  • Mentor junior developers and share expertise in Oracle database technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle database schemas and structures.
  • Implement and manage database security protocols in compliance with Security+ standards.
  • Perform thorough database analysis to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize queries.
  • Utilize SQL Developer for database scripting, automation, and performance tuning.
  • Manage database changes using Git Lab/Git Hub for version control and collaboration.
  • Track and manage database-related tasks and projects in Jira.
  • Conduct regular database health checks and troubleshooting to ensure system stability.
  • Maintain comprehensive database documentation. Develop and maintain
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems.
  • Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions seamlessly.
  • Perform database backups, recoveries, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Stay current with Oracle database updates, patches, and new features.
  • Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Contribute to the development of database standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • The migration of databases to new environments or platforms as needed. Assist in

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Developer.
  • Proven experience with SAFe Agile methodology.
  • Proficiency in SQL Developer for database scripting and management.
  • Experience with Jira for task and project management.
  • Strong understanding of Git Lab for version control and collaboration.
  • Security+ certification or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
  • Experience with database security practices and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in Oracle Database Administration (OCP) or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).
  • Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and tools.
  • Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
