Job Description
Centennial Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Dev Sec Ops Engineer with a strong AWS background to support our federal clients. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in designing, developing, and implementing automated Dev Ops pipelines to enable high-performing, secure, and scalable software solutions. This role requires hands‑on technical expertise, infrastructure automation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver enterprise‑grade Dev Ops capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Automate the provisioning of AWS environments and build infrastructure from the ground up using Terraform.
- Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit testing and conduct code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and resiliency.
- Develop automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, scripts, and self‑service capabilities to support platform operations.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of engineers on pipeline management, automation, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, leadership, vendors, and other engineering teams to communicate technical solutions and solve complex business challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in Dev Ops / Dev Sec Ops and AWS cloud operations in enterprise or shared‑services environments.
- Strong expertise in cloud‑native build and deployment pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Cloud Formation), Kubernetes / platform engineering, Docker, Jenkins, and Python.
- Expert‑level knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, and related cloud automation and orchestration services.
- Proven experience designing and deploying containerized and Kubernetes‑based solutions using modern CI/CD and IaC practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Prior experience implementing Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) with Kratix and Argo CD.
- Prior experience with USDA.
- Location: Hybrid – At least 4 days onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
