The role is for a production underwriter within the Middle Market Property underwriting team. This role will grow a profitable property insurance portfolio with a focus on select classes of business and geographic regions. Success requires interpersonal skills, teamwork, and strong technical capabilities. The role reports to the AVP of Middle Market Property.

• Underwrite new accounts based on underwriting guidelines and authority granted.
• Manage production to achieve premium goals.
• Effectively communicate information to both internal and external customers to maintain our standards of excellence.
• Develop, market, maintain, and enhance existing broker relationships.

• 3 years preferred underwriting or compliance experience in P&C Insurance, preferably for an E&S carrier.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial property underwriting, risk, and agency management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and team‑building skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strong internal and external business relationships.
• Well organized with attention to detail.
• The ideal candidate should live in one of the following locations:
  Florida, Georgia, Virginia, New York, or New Jersey

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university.
