Domestic Violence OfficerThe Scott County Sheriff’s Office is looking to fill a position for Domestic Violence Officer. The position is grant funded through VSTOP, or Virginia Stop Violence Against Women. This is a sworn law enforcement position and preference would be given to those who are already certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Responsibilities- Investigating domestic violence cases.
- Assisting with emergency protective orders.
- Serving orders.
- Assisting in J&DR court.
- Other basic law enforcement tasks.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have a good driving record.
- Have no convictions involving felonies or domestic violence.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
