Maintenance - Supervisor

The Town of Bridgewater is seeking applicants for Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the crews that maintain the Town’s streets and storm sewers, water and sanitary sewer systems, parks, refuse collection, recycle center, and maintenance at other facilities. This position responds to urgent and emergency situations after hours.

This employee is responsible for supervising crews by visiting job sites, evaluating staff performance, assigning workers to planned tasks and worksites, assisting crews when needed, and conducting performance evaluations and reviews. The Supervisor also maintains records of inventory, documents repairs, and writes work orders.

An ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory role, excellent communication skills, and the ability to pay attention to detail. The candidate should also be able to operate maintenance equipment and machinery, and be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

All applicants must have a valid Virginia Driver’s License and are subject to a criminal background check. A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred but not required.

The Town offers competitive wages with excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance and VRS retirement. This is a pay-grade P8 position, with a salary minimum of $60,320. Salary will depend upon qualifications and experience. Shift hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.
