Warehouse Assistant Manager - Night

Overview

Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking a Warehouse Assistant Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations. This listing is an entry level management position.

• Assist managers in the motivation and guidance of warehouse employees to develop and maintain a teamwork environment.
• Provide primary and comprehensive organization of all inventories of materials and finished product utilizing computerized inventory module.
• Daily communication with management and staff regarding shift transition, daily activities, and operational issues.
• Achieve production standards with expected quality on a daily basis.
• Work flexible overtime as needed.
• Provide support in areas necessary to maximize productivity.
• Safe operation of material movement equipment:
  Forklift, Reach Truck, and Pallet Jack.

• Supervisory/Management experience - a plus.
• Basic computer and communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Minimum of one year warehouse operations experience is required.
• Previous forklift and pallet-jack experience is a plus.
• Must have the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
