• Design, fabricate, and assemble precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures from raw materials.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of existing production tooling.
• Operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Conduct precision measurements using various inspection tools to ensure quality and conformity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling performance and production challenges.
• Select appropriate materials and apply heat treatment processes as required for tool longevity.

• Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM).
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties.
• Proven experience in fabricating, repairing, and maintaining complex tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Completion of a recognized Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship or equivalent work experience.

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, Mastercam).
• Experience in CNC programming and machine setup.
• Welding experience (TIG/MIG) for tool repair and fabrication.
• Knowledge of heat treatment processes for various tool steels.
