Emergency Room - ER RN - Travel Nurse

Job Overview

We’re looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Henrico, VA. The right RN should have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and will be responsible for evaluating, triaging, and implementing care in a fast‑paced, urgent environment.

• Evaluate, triage, and implement patient care following physician instructions and correct procedures.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and their families on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs.
• Administer IV therapy and provide basic bedside care.
• Document medical history, check allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 lb comfortably; may need to lift up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds.

• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
