Registered Nurse (RN) - Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery & Intermediate Care Unit - Rotating
4 East is a 30‑bed all‑telemetry unit for post‑operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. The unit consists of 18 acute care beds and 12 intermediate care beds for patients requiring a higher level of care between the ICU and acute care.
We seek a capable clinician focused on expanding knowledge and skills while consistently providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include managing care, implementing treatment plans, collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and the health care team, seeking and providing feedback for clinical practice improvement, and beginning a leadership role under mentorship.

Education
:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience
: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure
:
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia;
American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, traveling, bending/stooping, proficient communication, writing legibly, lifting/pushing/pulling 20–50 lbs, potential exposure to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
CompensationPosition Compensation Range: $39.90–$53.00 per hour.
