Hospital Assistant

Overview

Countryside Veterinary Clinic, a small animal general practice in Henrico, VA, is looking to fill a newly created role, Hospital Assistant.

As a hospital assistant you will rotate through the different roles of the clinic - customer service representative, veterinary assistant, surgical assistant, and kennel technician.

• Ensuring medical records are kept up to date.
• Invoicing clients.
• Clerical work.
• Obtaining medical history.
• Restraint for the doctors and veterinary technicians.
• Filling doctor prescribed medications.
• Running lab samples in clinic.
• Taking care of boarders.
• Holding for vet techs to sedate surgical patients.
• Cleaning up surgery, surgical instruments, wrapping packs.
