As a Pastry Cook in our high‑volume kitchen, you'll prepare large batches of seasonal treats like cookies, cakes, and pastries. You'll ensure each item meets our quality and presentation standards, helping maintain consistency and efficiency across our Deli and Catering operations.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to established recipes.
- Bake cookies, cakes, and other holiday‑themed treats.
- Decorate baked goods with seasonal themes and colors, ensuring consistent quality and visual appeal.
- Monitor and adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking times.
- Stock baking stations with ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are readily available.
- Refill ingredients as needed during baking shifts to ensure continuous workflow.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, ovens, and baking equipment after each shift.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety standards, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash.
- 2+ years' experience in a baker or pastry cook role.
- Knowledge of standard baking techniques and food safety regulations.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions.
- Comfortable with bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in environments exposed to hot and cold temperatures.
- Capable of performing repetitive hand movements with consistency and care.
