Haines, Jones & Cadbury (HJC), a division of Hajoca, is a national construction material supplier. HJC specializes in providing comprehensive construction material packages to major retail chains from coast‑to‑coast for new construction and remodel projects.
HJC is looking for a HVAC Sales & Service Representative at their Bentonville, AR office.

Sales & Service Representative interacts with our customers via telephone or face‑to‑face in an HJC LLC location or at the customer’s location. They provide the customer service required to generate and close sales, to meet or exceed the established sales and gross profit goals, and to increase profit sharing. They work safely, effectively, and accurately in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
the Role
You will:
- Meet or exceed the sales targets established by your manager.
- Use advanced HVAC technical knowledge to investigate, analyze, and diagnose field technical issues and work with HVAC manufacturers to resolve all technical issues both over the phone and onsite. This would include providing the documentation required by the HVAC manufacturers to diagnose warranty related claims.
- Work with Management to establish revenue and margin targets.
- Accurately process Sales Orders and Bids generated through telephone and in person sales transactions.
- Find innovative ways to grow sales with existing customers and become their trusted advisor.
- Generate sales leads that develop into new customers.
- Identify opportunities for value‑added services and articulate our solutions.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems, address pricing deductions and material returns timely and in accordance with Company policy and procedure, follow up to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Support Sales activities and all business activities as part of our HJC LLC team.
- Support sales efforts through technical training, coaching, evaluation, inventory recommendations and product support.
- Communicate to the Manager and Credit Manager any changes in a customer’s business that might cause a credit risk.
- Safeguard and maintain all Company assets – business planning and strategy, customer information and confidential manufacture information.
- Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
- 3+ years’ technical experience in HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center preferred.
- Use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain weekly sales plans, call reports, customer contact files, and to analyze customer data.
- Outstanding customer service, telephone/verbal communication, and generous listening skills.
- Demonstrate product knowledge to answer customer questions and identify opportunities to upsell or cross sell.
- Build influential relationships and trust with customers and vendors through open and interactive communication.
- Able to ask probing questions to understand customer needs, overcome objections by recommending profitable solutions, explain our value‑added services, ask for the order and close the sale.
- Able to build positive working relationships and inspire teamwork with co‑workers.
- Able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to process orders.
- Able to learn to operate warehouse material‑handling equipment.
