You’ll learn how to handle and identify high‑explosive incendiary rounds and a vast array of bombs. You’ll become an expert in handling, storage, transporting, arming and disarming weapons systems to ensure everyone stays as safe as possible and the mission is successful.

• Handle, store and transport weapons and locally dispose of nonhazardous, unserviceable munitions.
• Prepare munitions for loading on aircraft.
• Inspect munitions for serviceability.
• Conduct inventories and correct discrepancies.
• Establish and evaluate performance standards, maintenance controls and work procedures.

• Have a high school diploma, GED with 15 college credits or GED.
• Completion of basic munitions systems course.
• No record of emotional instability or domestic violence.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license to operate government motor vehicles.
• Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit Check.
• Completion of 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 39.
