Crop Insurance Agent

Primary Duties

• Cultivate and Expand:
  Nurture existing crop accounts and explore new opportunities through direct engagement with farmers.
• Innovate and Connect:
  Establish and develop new crop accounts, fostering lasting relationships within the agricultural community.
• Claim Support:
  Collaborate with adjusters and manage claims efficiently, ensuring seamless service for our clients.
• Off-Season Growth:
  Continue to maintain and expand farm accounts even during the off-season for crop insurance.
• Mentorship:
  Assist less experienced agents in mastering the art of selling farm and crop insurance.
• Educational Leadership:
  Support the Farm & Crop Specialist by organizing and conducting informative classes and seminars.

• Conduct annual reviews of Farm Bureau members’ crop insurance accounts to ensure optimal coverage.
• Engage in diverse tasks as assigned, contributing to the vibrant team environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; farming/agricultural experience is a bonus.

• Motivation & Initiative: A self-starter with a positive attitude and strong negotiation skills.
• Professionalism:

• Problem Solving & Communication:

• Agricultural Insight:
  In-depth knowledge of grain farming practices.

• Bachelor’s Degree in an agriculturally related field.
• Possession of a P&C License.
