Lead Foreman – Northern Virginia/Washington DC Full Time, Onsite
The Audiovisual Foreman is a critical leadership role responsible for the successful, high‑quality execution of AV system installation and commissioning across multiple, simultaneous projects. This role requires a hands‑on technical leader who ensures field teams meet DI’s standards for craftsmanship, efficiency, and safety.

Northern Virginia Washington, D.C. Tech Corridor (Onsite Field Position)
- Project Supervision & Quality Assurance: Lead, mentor, and manage installation teams (Field Technicians) onsite, ensuring all work adheres to project specifications, engineering drawings, and stringent industry standards (e.g., AVIXA, OSHA).
- Site Coordination & Logistics: Act as the primary technical interface with General Contractors and other trades. Coordinate schedules, manage material delivery, and oversee the safe handling and deployment of Audio Visual equipment essential for a large‑scale integration.
- System Installation & Commissioning: Execute and oversee the physical installation of all AV infrastructure, including cabling, rack building, equipment mounting, and trim‑out, ensuring readiness for engineering test and tune and final system commissioning.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate daily logs, report project progress, track labor hours, and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and site‑specific requirements.
- Mechanical Expertise: Apply mechanical, structural, and carpentry knowledge to ensure secure and aesthetically precise equipment mounting and system integration within client environments.
- Maintenance & Handover: Conduct initial system testing, troubleshoot complex field issues, and perform essential post‑installation punch list tasks to facilitate a seamless project handover.
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated proficiency in supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and manage a field installation team.
- Technical & Mechanical Aptitude: Strong working knowledge of mechanical principles and carpentry techniques as applied to professional Audio‑Visual or Low Voltage systems installation.
- Equipment Operations: Experience operating and managing heavy equipment (e.g., lifts, scaffolding) safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Security Clearance Eligibility: Must possess or be able to successfully obtain a security clearance, as required by our high‑security project portfolio (e.g., Government, Defense).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, external clients, and site management.
- Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to project timelines and all relevant industry safety standards and regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, CTS) or prior experience in the technology integration, low‑voltage, or commercial construction industries is preferred.
- Additional technical training in electronics, networking, or audiovisual systems a plus.
