Overview:

Hollywood Baptist Church, a growing rural Southern Baptist congregation (avg. 220 in Sunday worship), seeks a full-time Associate Pastor of Music/Administration to support the Senior Pastor in ministry and administration. This role combines music leadership, administrative oversight, and general pastoral responsibilities, including occasional preaching and visitation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Music Ministry Leadership
  • Congregational singing
  • Special music coordination for services and events
  • Children and youth music programs
  • Music planning for weddings, funerals, revivals, and other events
  • Oversee music volunteers, sound/media staff, and maintain the music library
  • Manage Music Ministry budget and ensure CCLI compliance
• Administrative Oversight
  • Support Senior Pastor with administrative tasks as assigned
  • Participate in planning meetings (e.g., Church Council, Leadership Team)
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination of ministry programs
• Pastoral Support
  • Assist with preaching, especially in the Senior Pastor’s absence
  • Help with visitation and other ministerial needs
  • Engage in personal evangelism and discipleship
  • Be spiritually accountable and model godly leadership

Qualifications:

• Ordained minister aligned with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• Strong spiritual life and prayer habits
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Skilled in music leadership and service planning technology
• Willing to live near the church and become a member within 30 days

Additional Expectations:

• Weekly planning and prayer meetings with the Senior Pastor
• Attend ministry-related seminars as approved
• Support church ministries financially and through active participation
• Lead family spiritually and maintain a godly personal life

Chatham, Virginia (45 minutes south of Liberty University)
