Hybrid role:
Candidate must be able to work on site as needed. The first month will be onsite, then two days a week remote maximum. We are searching for a quality C# developer to program, maintain code, and create .NET solutions for our business. In this role, you will design, write, and maintain C# program code for future and ongoing projects; contribute to design and planning sessions;

and formulate approaches for current coding tasks. The ideal candidate will develop high-quality applications in C#/Angular/SQL Server and have experience with large menu‑driven business systems such as claims processing, payroll, medical, or insurance type applications. You should be knowledgeable in transferring data between application screens, selecting and scrolling through large amounts of data, add/update/delete order‑entry type of transactions, and building new screens and reports.

• Developing C# .NET solutions for the organization.
• Creating in‑house applications using the .NET framework.
• Debugging and maintaining written code.
• Defining and organizing projects on an ongoing basis.
• Reporting and resolving issues related to .NET projects.
• Identifying and handling technical risks and issues.
• Working in a project team alongside other developers.
• Providing technical support to stakeholders in the organization.
• Reporting on project statuses and developments to senior team members.
• Participating in project meetings with management and other team members.

• C# .NET 3.1 (or higher)
• Angular (gRPC would be a plus)
• SQL Server
• Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code
• Knowledge of build and deployment repositories such as Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer.
• Knowledge of other coding languages (COBOL, PHP, C+, Java, Python, Cold Fusion, etc.) would be a plus.
• Ability to write clean, easy-to-understand code.
• Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Cold Fusion (nice to have).
• Sound understanding of coding and development processes.
• Experience with an agile environment.

This is NOT a telework position; candidate must be able to work in our Richmond, VA office. Since this is a contract‑to‑hire position, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or have a green card.
