Overview
The Town of Herndon has an immediate need for a Swim Instructor in the Parks and Recreation department. As a Swim Instructor, you will teach swimming lessons at the town’s indoor aquatic facility.
Salary- Salary/Pay Rate: $18 - $25 hourly, dependent on qualifications

Developing and implementing lesson plans - Instruction:
Demonstrating proper swimming techniques and providing individualized instruction - Feedback:
Encouraging students and providing feedback to help them improve their skills - Safety:
Ensuring a safe and clean environment for students, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies - Communication:
Communicating with students, parents, and supervisors - Record keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and progress, and reporting accidents and incidents to management
- Experience teaching learn-to-swim classes to youth and adults in an indoor aquatic center or outdoor facility
- Strong swimmer and passionate about water safety and teaching others the love of aquatics
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR and Water Safety Instructor current certifications
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish highly desirable

Monday–Thursday 5:00pm–7:30pm;
Saturday 9:00am–12:00pm
