Job Description
Title: Aircraft Cabin Cleaner
Pay Rate: 18.13 per hour
Pay Sequence: Weekly
Location: Dulles International Airport
Job Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Shift- Part-Time AM and PM Shift
- 06:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
- Strictly fixed schedule
- Must be willing to work on Saturday, Sunday, and three weekdays for five consecutive days
Note: The onboarding process may take up to four weeks. Shift assignments are based on business needs and availability at the time of onboarding completion. While we strive to accommodate preferred shifts, availability cannot be guaranteed. Your flexibility will be appreciated.
The Aircraft Cabin Cleaner role provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area within the Aircraft.
Basic Qualifications- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including a ten-year work history if available
- Must be able to communicate with basic English language
- Must be able to use computers for training
- 1 year of similar work experience
- Has updated SIDA BADGE with Security seal
Responsible for the overall appearance, safety, and security of the aircraft.
Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions- Clean all areas of the aircraft including crew rest and bunk areas, lavatories, galleys, and cabin area
- Provisioning:
Place correct safety card in each seatback and ensure linens and headsets are properly provisioned - Ensure all areas of the aircraft are free of debris
- Perform security searches as required
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Stand and walk for two-thirds or more of the work shift
- Talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel, bend, and/or crawl for two-thirds or more of the work shift
- Lift 50 pounds or more for up to two-thirds of the work shift
- The work environment has a moderate to high noise level
- Communicate effectively in English
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Present information and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Always wear appropriate uniform and badge/
- Comply with ABM Aviation Standards of Employment guidelines
- Comply with uniform and grooming standards and always wear SIDA badge/Airport
- Follow the ABM Aviation Employee Handbook policies including Zero Tolerance Discrimination and Harassment Policy, Retaliation Policy, Ethics Policy, Security Policy, and regulatory agency requirements (ADA, ACAA, DOT, TSA, FAA)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous aviation, aircraft appearance, or cleaning experience preferred
