Billing Specialist II

• Hourly base pay rate is $19.57 - $29.38/hour, with additional compensation potential

• Prepare repair orders by detailing symptoms, problems, and necessary repairs based on technician submissions
• Verify accuracy of VMRS codes and ensure billing hours align with standard repair times
• Generate invoices based on repair orders, applying customer-specific rates and mark-ups
• Improve the quality of repair orders by identifying and correcting weak points to minimize customer disputes
• Communicate with customers via email, fax, or phone to obtain purchase order approvals and address billing issues

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience totaling 5 years
• Proficiency with Mitchell One or similar estimating systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and software navigation for generating estimates and processing invoices
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

• Experience in service writing
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Existing knowledge of standard repair times for common services
• Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and action-oriented approach to daily tasks
• Maintains a professional yet friendly demeanor, especially when dealing with frustrated customers
