Warehouse Associate-Perishables

ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. ADUSA Distribution receives, stores, manages inventory, and ships fresh and non-perishable product throughout the network of local brand stores.

The Primary Purpose of this role is to perform distribution center shipping/receiving functions as a Warehouse Associate. You will be an essential part of moving product accurately and safely throughout the Distribution Center.

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks as assigned by supervisor or designee
• Complete documents related to shipping and receiving tasks
• Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform pre-operational checks of pallet jacks or forklifts according to company policy
• Follow good sanitation practices and keep the work area clean and free of debris
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs

• Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable
• Able to use a personal computer for data entry and research purposes
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High School Education
• Familiarity or experience in a distribution environment

• Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs repetitively
• Ability to meet production standards set by the company
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
• Must be able to work the needed schedule to perform assigned duties
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions
