Job DutiesTo provide instruction and supervision of inmates at the State Farm Agribusiness Meat Processing Plant and/or Milk Processing Plant. Train and supervise inmates in a food and/or beverage production setting. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols which include clean-in-place (CIP), hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP), and sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP). To assist other Agribusiness Operations as needed.
This is an hourly position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The hourly employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All hourly employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period.
This hourly position offers no state benefits.
Knowledge and ability to operate processing plant equipment, supervise inmate workforce, possess skills in teamwork, and keep accurate records. Valid driver’s license.
Additional ConsiderationsWork experience in the overall operation of a food/beverage processing plant and auxiliary equipment. Commercial Driver’s License. High school diploma or equivalent.
