Overview
The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for the daily activities and maintenance of the donor database, as well as the recording, depositing and reconciliation of all cash, pledges and payroll deduction donations, ensuring compliance with Foundation policies and procedures. The Coordinator provides administrative and program support for events, appeals and in-kind gift solicitation, donations and distribution. He/she will have exemplary organizational skills, exhibit professional demeanor with staff, board members, physicians, constituents, and donors.
The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the confidentiality of donors and patients.
- Maintain donor database daily activities and data integrity, including recording, depositing and reconciling cash, pledges and payroll deduction donations, in compliance with Foundation policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative and program support for events, appeals and in-kind gift solicitation, donations and distribution.
- Demonstrate exemplary organizational skills and maintain a professional demeanor with staff, board members, physicians, constituents, and donors.
- Manage multiple tasks and maintain strict confidentiality of donors and patients.
- Minimum two years of administrative support/fundraising software experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge fundraising software (or comparable donor database)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of event planning and support
- Ability to handle confidential information about board members, donors, employees, patients, and business & community leaders with discretion and trust
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, be highly organized and self-directed
- Exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative when handling gifts, commitments, financial information, donor and patient information, or inquiries
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with peers and those in authority
