The Accelerated Clinical Education (ACE) Program is a 12-week program designed specifically to support the new-to-practice Nurse in preparation for an RN bedside role.
ACE will help you find the area you are passionate about, without the added stress of being alone. The continuing education and the ability to work with an experienced nurse provides you with confidence to ask questions, admit what you don’t know, and try new skills.
The
Experience:
Candidates are exposed to multiple units and observation experiences throughout the program. Educators, along with preceptors and Nurse Directors, assess each participant’s clinical progression to match their best fit within the facility. All new hires will be required to work a combination of 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts to align with their preceptor’s schedule, up to 40 hours per week, including weekends.

Primary FunctionDelivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient problems/needs, and evaluates the process and outcomes of nursing care. Coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities and care provided by the health team.
Essential Job Functions- Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Creates care plans, implements treatments, and evaluates their effectiveness.
- Administers medications safely, following state regulations and hospital policies.
- Acts as a point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety.
- Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
- Knowledge of contemporary nursing practices and innovations.
- Strong nursing judgment and skills based on biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences.
- Application of the nursing process in patient care.
- Coordination of care and health promotion.
- Patient advocacy, interprofessional collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with clinical technologies.
- Compassionate, relationship-based approach to care.
- Integration of evidence-based practices and quality improvement.
- Accountability, resource stewardship, conflict management, and resilience.
- Delegation skills with responsibility and accountability for outcomes.
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred).
- Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required).
- Diploma in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
