Clinical Nurse Specialist, Director of Nursing
Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay is a fast‑paced Orthopaedic practice with 9 locations and an ambulatory surgery center (ASC). We are seeking an experienced Nurse Administrator to lead and oversee the clinical operations of our ambulatory surgery center. This role is responsible for ensuring high‑quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical leadership while fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
Position OverviewThe Nurse Administrator plans, organizes, and directs all clinical operations of the surgery center. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and medical staff, this role ensures compliance with accreditation standards, supports quality improvement initiatives, and provides leadership to clinical and ancillary staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all aspects of clinical operations and patient care services
- Direct and support the Quality Management and Patient Safety Programs
- Ensure compliance with AAAHC, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with physicians and COO to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency
- Supervise, develop, and evaluate clinical staff performance
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflow
- Support cost management, materials management, and equipment oversight
- Serve as a clinical leader during emergencies and operational challenges
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- Prior management experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital outpatient setting
- Prior OR circulating experience preferred
- Experience with AAAHC or Joint Commission accreditation
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with clinical and administrative computer systems
A combination of office and clinical setting. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a surgery center and clinic setting.

Salary Range$100,000 – $135,000 annually (based on experience)
