In this role, you'll develop profound emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience—qualities that go beyond nursing and touch the core of what it means to care for others.
- Build trust and form meaningful relationships with residents and their families
- Offer compassion and emotional support during times of need
- Listen to residents' stories and observe subtle changes in condition and behavior
- Provide a constant, reliable presence and advocate for residents' dignity
- Contribute to shaping the experience of aging by creating a nurturing environment
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience in daily care
- Must have ASN or BSN degree from an accredited college
- Must have an active RN license in the state of Virginia
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
- Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility
- Ability to make independent decisions
