Licensed Veterinary Technician

Mill Creek Veterinary Practice is a locally-owned, home-town veterinary practice rooted in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. As a new practice seeking to build a tradition of quality veterinary care and trusted client service, we are pursuing team members who are excited about the proposition of helping shape our vision and seeing our teamwork come to fruition.

Responsibilities include:

assisting veterinarians with exams and procedures, obtaining patient histories, performing laboratory tests, administering medications and treatments, monitoring anesthesia, placing catheters, drawing blood, assisting with dental cleanings, taking radiographs, maintaining accurate medical records, and educating clients on patient care.

Qualified applicants should have: a current veterinary technician license, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Prior clinical experience is preferred, but dedicated new graduates are encouraged to apply. Consideration will be given to applicants with desire to assist with both large and small animals, though this is not a required qualification for application.

We desire to offer a fun workplace, opportunities for professional growth, and a rewarding environment focused on quality patient care and client service. Full-time or part-time schedules may be available. Compensation is based on experience with an anticipated pay range of 27 to 32 dollars per hour, and benefits are negotiable.
