Shift Manager at an Independent Franchisee

Apply for the Shift Manager role at your local McDonald’s franchise. This position is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is your employer and is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, and scheduling.

Job Overview

As a Shift Manager, you will lead daily operations to deliver fast, accurate, friendly service while ensuring quality, safety, and cleanliness. You will manage crew, monitor performance, meet targets, and support the next Shift Manager to run a successful shift.

Responsibilities
  • Food Safety – Maintain compliance with all safety standards.
  • Internal Communication – Coordinate with crew and other managers.
  • Inventory Management – Oversee stock levels and ordering.
  • Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness – Keep the restaurant spotless.
  • Managing Crew – Lead and motivate team members.
  • Quality Food Production – Ensure consistent food quality.
  • Exceptional Customer Service – Deliver a memorable guest experience.
  • Safety and Security – Protect guests and staff.
  • Scheduling – Plan crew shifts efficiently.
  • Training – Coach crew on procedures and standards.
Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally in restaurant, retail, or hospitality.
  • Positive team player with a flexible schedule.
  • 18 years or older – required for a manager in corporate‑owned restaurants.
