We’re looking for an enthusiastic cook who can deliver outstanding results in the kitchen, prepping, cooking, and serving meals to our elderly population. Your main responsibilities will be to stock, prepare, cook, and serve meals. You’ll keep your workstation and equipment clean and follow all required safety protocols.

Good organization skills, the ability to take directions well, and to read recipe instructions and labels in English, as well as handle a variety of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and measuring tools, are required. • Handle simple cooking tasks such as brewing coffee or tea, preparing soups and reducing sauces, and assisting others in the kitchen when necessary
• Observe all company‑required food safety guidelines and protocols in the areas where food is prepared and kitchen equipment is utilized
• Wash, sort, prep, slice, & measure ingredients for recipes, using condiments, vegetables, and proteins, and mixing sauces for use in various meals
• Understand recipe instructions, measurements, meal charts, and labels written in English and use all measuring tools properly
• Maintain a clean, organized prep area and workstation at all times, and sanitize equipment after each shift or when we close

• Able to read recipes, meal charts, and labels and understand directions in English
• You should possess the basic knowledge of food preparation and perform these duties with minimal supervision from the head cook or chef
• Basic familiarity with operating kitchen equipment
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time, as well as lift 35 to 50 pounds, pull heavier items, and bend frequently
• Flexibility to work weekend hours and holidays if necessary, as well as some extended hours

$17.50 hourly
