Job Overview

The Homestead, L.C. d/b/a The Omni Homestead Resort, headquartered at 7696 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, VA 24445, is seeking to fill twenty (20) Steward/Dishwasher positions for a temporary full‑time contract from March 11, 2026 to January 10, 2027.

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, machines, and storage racks.
• Properly sort and dispose of trash and recycling in designated containers.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling, chemical use, and sanitation.
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks, such as wiping down surfaces, sweeping, and mopping.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in their designated locations.
• Monitor dishwashing machine operation, notify management of any issues, and support kitchen staff by delivering clean dishes and equipment.
• Restock cleaning supplies and alert the manager when inventory is low.
• Work efficiently during peak hours to keep up with demand and support overall kitchen operations.

• Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability and willingness to stand for 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic English skills.

Pay is $15.05 per hour with overtime available at $22.58 per hour. Overtime based on the hourly rate.

35 hours per week, Sunday to Saturday with 8‑hour shifts ranging from 7:30 am to 7:00 am (7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, or 11:00 pm to 7:30 am).

Optional housing available for a $312.00 bi‑weekly deduction. Additional $250.00 security deposit required, paid over five pay periods. If move‑out procedures and housing regulations are followed, $100.00 of the deposit is refundable. Dorm‑style housing: each bedroom shared by two associates, bathroom shared between two bedrooms, accommodating four associates in total. Shared kitchen and laundry facilities available.

Transportation, including meals and lodging, to the place of employment will be provided or reimbursed by separate check if the worker completes at least 50% of the work contract period. Daily subsistence rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement for visa, processing, border crossing fees, including those mandated by the government, but not passport expenses.
