Job Overview
The Homestead, L.C. d/b/a The Omni Homestead Resort, headquartered at 7696 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, VA 24445, is seeking to fill twenty (20) Busser positions from March 11, 2026 to January 10, 2027. These are full‑time, peak‑load, temporary positions.
Responsibilities- Clarify instructions for station setup and side work.
- Ensure supplies are stocked in the stands and pitchers are filled with ice water continuously.
- Receive rolls, place in warmers, pre‑set breadbaskets with napkins.
- Pick up linen, check off and collect storeroom supplies, set tables with clean, pressed linen, china, silver, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of furniture and floors, assist servers during meal service, remove extra settings.
- Pour water and serve rolls and butter as specified.
- Perform tea service and obtain necessary certifications such as ABC and Serve Safe.
- Flexibility in scheduling; available on all holidays and weekends.
- Dependability and ability to maintain a clear table of dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and linens.
- Capable of working split and straight shifts, willing to cross‑train, and scheduled in any dining outlet at the resort.
- Ability to resolve guest issues, knowledge of appropriate verbiage for a fine dining setting, and receptiveness to direction and coaching.
- Minimum age 16 years; physical ability to stand, walk, coordinate hand‑eye movements, and carry or lift 15–20 pounds.
- Basic English skills.
Pay is $15.79 per hour with overtime available at $23.69 per hour.
Work schedule:
35 hours per week, 7‑hour shifts from Sunday to Saturday with options at 8:00‑3:00, 10:00‑5:00, 11:00‑6:00, or 4:00‑11:00 pm. Pay period is bi‑weekly.
Optional dorm‑style housing available at a $312.00 bi‑weekly deduction. A $250.00 security deposit is required, paid over five pay periods; $100.00 of the deposit is refundable if move‑out procedures and housing regulations are followed. Each bedroom is shared by two associates, with a shared bathroom and kitchen/laundry facilities.
Transportation & SubsistenceTransportation to and from the place of employment will be provided or reimbursed for workers completing at least 50% of the contract period. Daily subsistence of $16.28 per day (maximum $68.00 with receipts) is provided. Reimbursement for visa, visa processing, border crossing, and related fees is available for the first work week.
