Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Crozier, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while carrying a firearm in accordance with licensing and training requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior within and around the government facility.
- Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols and report them according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary to support incident response at the location.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to clients, visitors, and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
