Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Clearance Patrol Driver in Dulles, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the premises and respond quickly to situations, all while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and visitors as needed.
  • Complete required logs and incident reports accurately and promptly as required by Allied Universal policies and site-specific procedures.
  • Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts, maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
